fin de año en el Goethe

Santiago's last day of school was amazing!! All of the classrooms had an exhibition of their work and the kids were very proud to show what they've been working on all year!!

This drawings and artwork in general are just amazing!!
I'm so happy to have found this pedagogy for my children...sometimes I'm a little jealous..I wish I could have gone to a Waldorf school myself!

As the grades progress, the kinds of drawings and handwork get more and more impressive!!

In 4th, 5th and 6th grade they have woodworking class...their teacher is amazing and so committed to his work.

At the end of the day, I had a feeling of closure and contentment about our experience here in Mexico. I am so grateful for the opportunity to meet all the amazing people whom we crossed paths with.
The children were forever blessed to be able to live in this culture, so rich with traditions, with people so in touch with their heart and the amazing feeling of community we all felt, we were embraced by two different communities with Daniel's school and Santiago's school as well.

Here's a little window into how much the children learned at school. In Waldorf schools, children are bathed in poetry, music, games, festivals...art in so many different forms. They say a blessing before snack and lunch and there is a big spiritual connection and in my opinion, they are very much in touch with the light inside of them that drives them and makes them become amazing human beings!

Here are a few recordings of Santiago and Daniel singing songs and verses that they learned at school.

Santiago Singing in Spanish the song Gentil Guarecita

Santiago doing the blessing before the meal in Spanish

Daniel singing the "mañanitas"

Danielito singing the song "Guanajuato"
